This may be known to you as 'Aphasia'. It might affect your understanding of language or your ability to say the right words.

I can work with you to practice exercises to help improve your language.

We can also work on developing strategies to reduce the impact it is having on you and your family. And look into any resources that might support you on a daily basis like a communication book or an iPad.

Swallowing difficulites can affect many people for a variety of reasons. And it is something that can have big impact on your everyday life.

If you are having difficulty with your eating and drinking I can support you with advice to reduce the impact of this.

Voice Therapy

Some people have changes to the way their voice sounds. For example your voice might sound hoarse, rough or weak. This might be because of a variety of reasons such as muscle tension in the throat.

If you have noticed a change its important to speak to your GP.

Voice therapy can help to improve the way your voice sounds.

Its usually best to speak to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor prior to starting speech therapy.
